Joy Ladurner of JA ImpleMENTAL gave a presentation on the programme to the first workshop to be organised by the IASP Partnerships for Life programme (formerly the Regional Suicide Prevention Networks Programme) on Tuesday 15 November. This half-day workshop was the first in a proposed series in the European region. These workshops are intended to support the development of a strategic approach to suicide prevention; offer an opportunity to share experience in, and/or knowledge and learning about, suicide prevention strategies/programmes between countries within the EURO region; identify facilitators of, and barriers to, the development and implementation of national suicide prevention strategies/programmes within the region; and encourage peer learning and facilitate mentorship between EURO countries at different stages of strategy/programme development.
