The first WP6-online training „The Suicide Risk Code – Model of continuity of care in Spain“ took place on 27 September 2022, a follow-up session on 7 October.
About 50 participants from 15 different countries took part in the training, about 30 persons from 13 countries attended the follow-up-session. Participants had various backgrounds: public administration, research, service provision.
They followed inputs of the Spanish trainer-team, providing information on key facts related to SRC (understanding, definition, aims of the procedure) as well as sharing their experience on the development of SRC-prodecures in 4 Spanish regions and thereafter engaged in a lively discussion and reflection on next potential steps towards implementation of SRC in their countries.
The follow-up-session on 7 October was focused on finding out more about the status quo of implementation of SRC in the participating countries as well as brainstorming on facilitators and barriers related to 2 key questions „Does your country identify/register persons at risk of attempting suicide?“ and „Does your country follow-up/monitor persons at risk (ensuring continuity of care)?
