Partner Meeting to be held in Milan

JA ImpleMENTAL partner meeting is scheduled to take place both online and in person in Milan, Italy, on April 8-9, 2024. This highly anticipated internal event aims at gathering the partners from the 14 participating countries, providing a platform to delve into relevant issues of community-based mental health care firsthand and foster deeper personal connections. Participants can anticipate engaging in a cross-country exchange, focusing on selected topics aligned with the ongoing pilot actions and their preliminary results.

Furthermore, the meeting will allow the participants to gain expertise and knowledge from external experts to the Joint Action, enriching discussions and insights. Addressing concerns surrounding the evaluation and reporting processes associated with the pilot action implementation will also be a key agenda item. Crucially, the meeting aims to provide clarity on forthcoming activities, ensuring all partners are aligned and informed moving forward.

Meeting Objectives:

  • Meet and discuss about JA ImpleMENTAL relevant issues directly in person and strengthen personal links
  • Cross-country exchange about selected topics focused by the pilot actions
  • Discuss/exchange about (preliminary) results of the pilot actions
  • Gain from the expertise and knowledge from external experts to the JA (WPAG experts)
  • Clarify concerns/questions/issues linked to the evaluation & reporting process concerning implementation of the pilot actions
  • Get a clear understanding about further JA ImpleMENTAL activities (& connected partners) & input requested from JA ImpleMENTAL partner countries until the end of the JA
Tentative Agenda Highlights:

Day 1:

  • Challenges and solutions in the pilot actions : Structured discussion along four Strategic Areas of the Belgian best practice model
  • Training and capacity building for JA ImpleMENTAL – Results and further steps
  • Developing and applying a dashboard of MH indicators- Building indicators based on data
  • (Preliminary) results and sustainability of the pilot action implementations – Onsite and virtual World Café session

Day 2:

  • Focus Group Discussion on the Theory of Change (ToC) framework
  • Approach & interlinkages of upcoming tasks in WP 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 towards elaboration of (cross-country) reporting on results/findings
  • Visit of mental health facilities in Milan – An example of the Italian system of community-based MH care in Regione Lombardy
